For this project, I needed to create content for a brand, but I could not just create any content - the content had to align with the brand itself.
PE Kicks SA is a South African online footwear retailer, founded in 2016 in Port Elizabeth, with a secondary base in Cape Town since 2024. They specialise in trendy and mainstream footwear, offering over 10 top brands like Adidas, Nike, Air Jordan, and Converse. Known for nationwide delivery and a strong social media presence, the brand embodies a vibrant, urban style inspired by its Port Elizabeth roots.
A carousel post shows off their sneakers with eye-catching photos in a way that works great on phones. Carousels let them share lots of products while telling a brand story without taking up too much space on their website or social media. They keep customers swiping and interested, helping PE Kicks sell more while highlighting their trendy, urban vibe. This carousel was created for a promotion.

Short, engaging Reels capture attention with vibrant visuals. Reels are highly shareable, allowing customers to easily spread the word, amplifying PE Kicks’ reach. They also get significantly more views than regular posts, especially on platforms like Instagram, where they can appear on the Explore page and attract new customers. Tailored for mobile users, Reels align with PE Kicks’ online focus and let them share fun, authentic content like lifestyle clips or ambassador features, boosting engagement, highlighting their urban vibe, and driving sales with product tags—all in a cost-effective, shareable format.

Facebook’s algorithm favors video content, giving these posts higher visibility and engagement compared to static images, with features like auto-play grabbing attention. The shareable nature of videos encourages users to spread the campaign, boosting organic reach. Additionally, Facebook’s targeting tools allow PE Kicks to reach specific demographics, like young, urban sneaker enthusiasts, while product tags and links drive traffic directly to their online store, pekicks.co.za, increasing sales potential in a cost-effective way.
Because PE KICKS works sports brands, I decided to create a sports styled video. The video is in urban setting, capturing the brands urban style andusing products which they already have.
